As ACA President, I was invited to attend the NACE International Annual Conference, which this year was held in Nashville on March 11 to 15. It really was a pleasure to witness and be part of this Conference, with 5000 registrants, a huge exhibition, numerous social events and other features. Continuing the practice developed in recent years, we will be reciprocating by inviting the new NACE president, Dr. Lou Vincent, to attend our own Sydney Conference in November. Conferences such as this showcase the organisations that present and organise them, and it is clear from the obvious success of Corrosion 2007 that NACE is supported by a large and enthusiastic membership, and that it is served by a dedicated and competent staff.
