Mexican government works to ensure 240 MMcf/d of gas reaches Yucatan by mid-July

Mexico state-owned companies CFE, Pemex and CENAGAS are working together to ensure 240 MMcf/d of additional natural gas flows into the Yucatan Peninsula starting July 15, preventing further blackouts caused by gas shortages, the Mexican government said June 25. The additional 240 MMcf/d of gas supply is expected to arrive as a result of a reconfiguration of the Cempoala compressor station, the startup of TC Energy’s 2.6 Bcf/d Sur de Texas-Tuxpan pipeline and the completion of the Monte Grande interconnection, according to a statement from Yucatan Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal, CENAGAS Director Elvira Daniel and CFE Director Manuel Bartlett.
