The December gas contract moved 2.3% higher Wednesday to close in the mid-$3.20s per million Btu. An upcoming below-average storage build and cold forecasts were credited. The prompt month rose 7.4￠ to close at $3.261/MMBtu and traded in a range from $3.207 to $3.275. Meanwhile, the 12-month strip was up 3.2￠ at $2.87, while the 2019 strip rose 2.8￠ to $2.842 (Futures contracts).
