LNG Train Now in Service

Cameron LNG last week put Train 2 at its Hackberry,Louisiana,export project into commercial service.CEO Farhad Ahrabi said construction for Train 2 was completed last year,with the unit receiving gas flow for testing in November as it reached the final stage of the commissioning process.In December,Train 2 began producing LNG and shipping test cargoes.The federally approved project includes three liquefaction trains with a projected export capacity of more than 12 million tons/yr of LNG(4 million tons/yr per train),or about 1.7 Bcf/d(NGW Dec.9’19).Cameron LNG Train 3 is forecast to reach first LNG production in this year’s second quarter while Train 1 began commercial operations in August 2019.
