Recent development in numerical analysis of rolling bearings basic technology series of bearings

Advances in computers have enabled great improvements in the numerical analysis of rolling bearings. Many excellent pro grams have bee a developed as essential tools for rolling bearing engineers because analytical problems are becoming harder and harder to be solved and analytical techniques are becoming more complicated. In practical uses, there are many problems such as calculation time and convergence. In this paper, representative numerical analyses used in rolling bearing development are described. Also, the present situation and a future view are briefly discussed.
