Between romaine lettuce, beef products, and a popular cereal that sickened many, 2018 saw major national recalls of several popular food and drink products. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), there were more than 1,900 food and cosmetic recalls in fiscal year 2018 (October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018). That might seem like a lot, but it was actually far fewer than the 3,609 in 2017.
