National Energy Board's Role in Crown Consultation In its recent decision's in Chippewas of the Thames First Nation v. Enbridge Pipelines Inc., 2017 SCC 41, and Clyde River (Hamlet) v. Petroleum Geo-Services Inc., 2017 SCC 40, the Supreme Court of Canada attempted to clarify the scope of administrative bodies in fulfilling the Crown's duty to consult with Indigenous groups.
