Lands under consideration for oil and gas leasing include acreage in the following counties: ALPENA,ARENAC,BENZIE,CLARE,GLADWIN,GRAND TRAVERSE,ISABELLA,JACKSON,LENAWEE,MANISTEE,MECOSTA,MISSAUKEE,MONTMORENCY,OGEMAW,OSCEOLA,ROSCOMMON,and WASHTENAW.On October 30,2019 the Department of Natural Resources(DNR)will offer,at an oral-bid public auction,approximately 16,000 acres of state-owned oil and gas lease rights in those Michigan counties indicated herein.More detailed information regarding location of the nominated parcels is available at www.michigan.gov/minerals,under Maps,select Mineral Lease Nomination Maps;or by calling 517-284-5912.Written comments from interested parties relative to the classification of any description must be received by Office of Minerals Management(OMM)at the address specified herein NO LATER THAN September 10,2019.Final approval of proposed classification will be set at the sole discretion of the Director of the DNR.
