The paper presents a manner to find out the stresses in different cross sections of the plane frame of hydraulic presses with columns taking into account the influence of the superior beam upon the column in case of stamping or forging, respectively upsetting.Solving the systems of equations (6), (7) and (9) can be found the forces that act on columns and with relationships (12), (13) and (14) we get bending moments, respectively the tensile - compressive force in columns, finally resulting the stresses.
