Editors' Guide

This issue epitomises the Journal's mission of offering an international perspective on theory, research and practice within our field, with contributions from Australia, Canada, the USA, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the UK. The first paper, by Jones and his colleagues in Denmark, examines the validity of classifying bulimic episodes (objective vs. subjective) in 480 adolescent females. Those who are sceptical about classification and numbers will be intrigued to learn that loss of control over eating appears to be a more significant marker of symptom severity than size of binge or classification of objective vs. subjective.
