A fuid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit malfunction led to in- creased emissions on 15 October at ExxonMobil’s 348,000 b/d refnery in Beaumont, Texas. The upset was the result of a power loss, according to a fling to state environmental quality monitors. Increased emissions associated with the malfunc- tion ended 14 hours and 29 minutes later, according to the fling. ExxonMobil started turnaround work on various units at the beginning of October.
