Imagine having an energy solution boasting the economics of pumped hydro and the flexibility of batteries, without their respective logistical and financial challenges. Victoria-based company RayGen Resources has presented a solution which doesjust that and, such is the merit of their proposed 50MWh power plant in Mildura, they have received $3 million of funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency [ARENA].
