Imported Cotton Fabrics

In response to a 2% appreciation of the yuan by China,futures prices of imported cotton woven fabrics have generally risen by about 4-5 yen/meter.There are strong expectations that futures prices are likely to rise a little more in the future(trader sources)because China will probably increase the value of its currency again on a gradual basis by the end of this year.Nevertheless,spot quotations have shown small little moves,reflecting the sluggishness in demand.
