The UK's goal of reaching a net zero position for its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 will require “unprecedented innovation across the economy”, according to a report published on 10 March. “Success [in achieving the UK’s net zero target] depends on innovation across the whole system: in technology, land use change and behaviour,” the report by domestic research frm Energy Systems Catapult (ESC) said.
