First fully compostable and recyclable paper cup

Netherlands-based paintings and coatings company AkzoNobel has created the world's first fully compostable and recyclable paper cup for cold drinks. Using a coating known as EvCote~(TM) Water Barrier 3000, made from plant-based oils and recycled PET bottles, the cups don't require any modification in the current recycle stream or special handling.
