Getting the most from biomass

To keep the UK on a trajectory for scaling up domestic biomass production out to the 2050s, the country will need to make more productive use of its arable land through the planting of second generation crops. The market for energy crops is promising but faces both technical and market barriers. To support investment decisions, new research findings from the Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) have identified the most effective technologies to increase energy crop efficiency.
