FILTERABILITY OF SLIMES AND PULPS OF ALUMINA PRODUCTION IN LAROX PF FILTER PRESSES

摘要

The results of experimental studies estimating filterability of slimes and pulps during their production in filter presses of LAROX (Finland) are given. The presented results of filterability of different suspensions in hydrometallurgical production are provided by operation of gravitation forces in vertical filter presses, by high pressure of diaphragm extrusion, by application of dense filtrating tissues, by execution of rinsing under pressure and air drying of cakes in a filter during the same technological cycle, by 10 percent process automation etc. Experimental data demonstrate possibility of wide application of LAROX PF filter presses for dewatering of different intermediate products of metallurgical production with ensuring of high intensification of the main technological stages and essential decrease of power consumption due to fabrication of more dry cakes. Environmental problems are also solved by minimization of harmful exhaustings in the atmosphere.
