IMPROVEMENT OF THE METHODS OF GASES PREPARATION IN COPPER SMELTING PRODUCTION FOR SULPHUR DIOXIDE UTILIZATION

The technology of Boliden washing section designed for ZAO《Karabashmed》 has been tested during last 12-15 years at different foreign enterprises and confirmed possibility of its stable operation in the wide range of volumes, compositions and temperatures of feeding gas. This technology is characterized with low operating expenses. Water and electric power consumption were decreased approximately by 45-50 percent and 35-40 percent correspondingly, compared with conventional technologies. Combination of the technological units and blocked layout of the equipment along the vertical axis allow to decrease metal intensity of this project and to save operation squares.
