The new technology of opencast mining of copper ores at quarries of 《Kazakhmys》 corporation is described. Its essence consists of disposition of transporting descents in underground excavations (tunnels worked after the area of strata movement), in order to decrease volume of opening operations connected with forming the transporting berms in quarries.
