A SIMPLE TESTING RIG AND MERCURY VAPOUR GENERATOR FOR INVESTIGATION OF MERCURY VAPOUR REMOVAL CHARACTERISTICS OF DIFFERENT SORBENTS

Many attempts have made to decrease mercury emissions to the environment. One way is cleaning the gas based on sorption. For sorbent selection, determination of the capacity of sorbents and the efficiency of capture a testing rig based on a mercury vapour generator and atomic absorption mercury detection was set and tested. The principle of calibration and the applicability of the rig was demonstrated in case of coals, chars and activated carbons.
