摘要

The priority control scheme defined in IEEE802.1p that provides some service class is a key technology to achieve CoS (Class of Service) control in the Ethernet based systems. In the wired networks, some Routers or Bridges support IEEE802.1p priority control mechanism. Communications quality control should be accomplished between end-to-end systems. As an access system, wireless LAN systems should support such priority control mechanism. A priority control scheme to ensure class of service in the Ethernet based wireless LAN system is studied. This paper proposes a priority and a CoS control methods by using DCF and PCF of IEEE802.11 and a priority control mechanism of IEEE802.1p. As a result of the evaluation by the computer simulation, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme enable to guarantee communications quality and to support priority control. This priority control enables to constrain communication of subscriber receiving much data packets.
