French EDF Inks LNG SPA Contract for Mozambique LNG Project

France’s EDF has decided to purchase LNG from a Mozambique-based LNG project “Mozambique LNG.” USAnadarko Petroleum, operator of the project, announced on 20th this month (local time) that Mozambique LNG1 Company,which serves as the project’s LNG marketing, has entered into an LNG sale and purchase (SPA) contract withEDF. This is the first SPA contract for the Mozambiquan project. Pursuant to the contract, EDF plans to purchase 1.2mtpa of LNG from the project over the course of 15 years.
