Golar LNG to Build New LNG Receiving Terminal Northeastern Brazil

A Norwegian shipping company Golar LNG is planning to develop a new LNG receiving terminal in the state of Pernambuco, northeastern Brazil. Mooring its existing LNG vessel as at the Port of Suape in the state, the company plans to use the port as an LNG supply base and deliver LNG containers to areas that have no pipeline and other natural gas infrastructure. The start-up of the terminal is expected in the second half of 2020.
