Tokyo Gas Signs Agreement on LNG Terminal Construction in Philippines

Tokyo Gas announced on 7th that it has signed a Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA) with First Gen Corporation to construct a floating LNG import terminal in the Philippines. The two companies inked a Joint Development Agreement in December 2018 and have been advancing the terminal construction project in Batangas city, southern Luzon island. The project has recently been approved by the Department of Energy Philippines to start construction and is further moving forward to the goal to start receiving LNG in the latter half of 2022 at the earliest.
