摘要

The authors retrospectively reviewed the imaging (CT) findings of children who were admitted to their level I trauma center after sustaining blunt trauma to determine predictors for patients who would require some sort of intervention vs nonoperative expectant management. The data presented reinforce that children, similar to adults, rarely require any surgical intervention for most grades of renal trauma, particularly grade I III, and most with grade IV renal injuries do not require any aggressive surgical management for those injuries.
