London—South African manganese, chrome and iron ore miner Assore’s Assmang, Dwarsrivier and Wonderstone assets have all declared force majeure on customer, supplier and freight contracts, as a result of the government’s 21-day lockdown, the company said Tuesday. The South African government has imposed a 21-day lockdown, which started on march 26, to help curb the spread of coronavirus.
