Nile Delta gas discovery

Italy’s Eni, BP and Total have made a gas discov- ery with their first exploration well on the North El Hammad licence in the Nile Delta offshore Egypt. The well hit pay dirt on the Bashrush prospect at a water depth of 22m (72ft). The find lies 11km from the coast, 12km northwest of the Nooros field and 1km west of the Baltim South West field. Both of these fields are already in production.
