Vietnam has decided to prosecute a former executive of the state oil company PetroVietnam, as it continues its campaign against corruption (IOD Oct.2'17). The Ministry of Public Security said Wednesday that Phung Dinh Thuc, former General Director of PetroVietnam will be prosecuted for "deliberately acting contrary to the state's regulations on economic management, causing serious consequences; embezzlement," while he was working on a thermal power plant project.
