Brent Fails to Hold Above $70

Global benchmark Brent crude pushed past $70 on Thursday, but the rally lost steam amid concerns that prices are getting overheated. In London, Brent on ICE Futures for March delivery settled up 6￠ at $69.26 per barrel but posted a session high over $70/bbl. In New York, February light, sweet crude on Nymex closed 23￠ higher at $63.80/bbl, while the March contract ended the session with a gain of 26￠ at $63.68/bbl.
