Globally coordinated stimulus packages jolted equity markets back to life after several miserable weeks, but the oil price failed to follow suit as demand is crashing in a massively oversupplied market. By the end of trading on Tuesday, markets were still awaiting a final decision on a $2 trillion US stimulus package as part of a global push to shield economies from the paralysis in travel and trade to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
