Saudi Arabia and its Mideast Gulf allies remain committed to striking a formal agreement with non-Opec states led by Russia to establish a platform for long-term collaboration on oil market management soon. However, with the advancement of anti-Opec legislation in the US and questions over what type of long-term alliance Moscow would agree, it remains to be seen when - and whether - such a deal can be reached (OD Feb.8’19).
