German Wind Farm Gets OK

Sweden抯 Vattenfall said Thursday the planned Dan Tysk offshore wind farm in the German section of the North Sea should cost roughly ?1 billion ($1.4 billion) and will have a capacity of 288 megawatts. The company said it could could be operational by the end of 2013, if construction starts in 2012 as scheduled. The 80 turbine project will use turbines from Germany抯 Siemens and will be located roughly 70 km off the German island of Sylt.
