World oil demand this year is almost cer- tain to exceed the previous all-time high in 2007, according to consultancy Wood Mackenzie. Based on provisional third-quar ter data, Woodmac forecasts world oil de- mand in 2010 is likely to average 86.7 mil- lion barrels per day - 100,000 b/d higher than in 2007 - and grow to 88.1 million b/d in 2011 and 90 million b/d in 2012.
