Prices rise significantly

Phosphate prices are firm due to firm raw material costs and thin supply out of China. The sale of 30,000t DAP/ MAP ex-Saudi Arabia to Australia at $410/t fob is up $35/t on Argus’ last assessment. In Pakistan, DAP has traded above $400/t cfr, up at least $10/t on last done business, reflecting the mid-$380s/t fob China. Russian producers are also seeing DAP and MAP prices rise. MAP out of the Baltic has been bid firm at $370/t fob while netbacks from DAP sold into northern Europe are approaching $380/t fob for Lithuanian product. GCT and OCP are asking $400-410/t fob in Europe for DAP. West of Suez, Tampa DAP moved up $21/t to $366/t fob on latest business.
