摘要

Fishscale is one of the major defects of cold rolled strips for porcelain enamelling. It is known that the source of fishscale is hydrogen which diffuses into the steel substrate during firing and diffuses out of steel and builds up the pressure at glass/metal interface during or after cooling. Various precipitations have been used as hydrogen traps which entrap the hydrogen and reduce probability of diffusion of hydrogen towards glass/metal interface, then resulting in reduced fishscale defects. In this report, the effects of Ti precipitates on the fishscale defects and other enamel properties have been discussed.
