Start up in sight for HBI plant in US

Voestalpine of Austria says its new hot briquetted (HBI) plant in Corpus Christi, Texas, will go into operationlargely as planned during Q3.Construction is reaching its final stages with the last phase of plant assembly, including implementation ofprocess and control engineering, to take place in parallel with test runs on equipment and systems. A total120,000 t of iron ore pellets from Brazil is due to arrive at the end of April to enable that to happen.
