Three Engineering Companies Post Q1 Sales Above ￥100 Bn

Three major Japanese engineering and construction companies each posted consolidated sales exceeding ￥100 bn (912.4 mn) for the first quarter of the current fiscal year started April 1, 2008. JGC Corp. and Chiyoda Corp., however, reported year-on-year sales declines of about 20%, while Toyo Engineering marked growth of about 30%.
