According to the customs-statistics released in China, this country imported 1,307,000 tons of manganese ore in May of 2011, having exceeded the largest quantity ( 1,284,000 tons ) as so far recorded in December of 2009. For a reference, the monthly quantities of manganese ore imported and stocked by China during January 2009 to May 2011 were as per the table shown below.
