Major manganese mines have decided to reduce their price of manganese ore to be shipped to China in March of 2011. According to an information from China at the beginning of this week, the price of lumpy manganese ore with Mn 44% as a typical grade for China has come down to 6.00 US dollars per Mn 1% CIF China for March shipment and this new price for March has been reduced by 50 US-Cents per Mn 1% compared with that settled for February shipment.
