Japan Imported 13,000 Tons Of Stainless Steel Products In March 2010 As Recovered- Increased By 30% From That In February, Recovered Imports From South Korea And China Influenced

Japan Iron and Steel Federation compiled the data on imports of stainless steel products into Japan in March of 2010 on the basis of the statistics released by the Ministry of Finance and the contents were as per the table attached hereto. Namely, Japan imported 12,878 tons of stainless steel products in March of 2010, which had a considerable increase of 29.6% compared with that ( 9,939 tons ) in the previous month of February and also had a remarkable increase of 88.7% compared to that ( 6,826 tons ) in the same month of 2009. The first quarter of 2009 had been seriously depressed by a worldwide decline of the steel industry and, therefore, the imports in that quarter were not worthwhile to compare.
