The coal handling capacity of Mundra port in Gujarat, owned by Adani Group of India has been increased to 60 million MT per year. Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone Limited (MPSEZ) operating Mundra port has announced that the company has recently started operations at its 60 million MT per year coal handling terminal which became the port with the largest coal handling capacity in the world. For reference, the port has the largest handling capacity of entire cargo in India surpassing 115,000,000 MT per year.
