Metallurgical coal negotiations with Japanese blast furnace steel producers have become very likely to take a long time. As reported before, the largest metallurgical coal supplier BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) has sounded on possibility of retrenchment of pricing period of metallurgical coal and unless solution on this issue can be reached, it has become difficult to enter into full stride negotiations on metallurgical coal.
