The contract negotiations on metallurgical coal with blast furnace steel producers are expected to be started very shortly for shipments in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2010 (July-September). At this stage the suppliers side including BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) and so on have not yet indicated price ideas on various types of metallurgical coal for shipments in the second quarter, but hard coking coal negotiations will approach a crucial phase within the next week if earlier.
