What the RPS is doing to support members' professional care of patients

As the UK's chief pharmaceutical officers publish their statement on the exploratory work that has been going on with both professional and regulatory bodies in pharmacy on medicines and regulation (PJ, 10 November 2012, p514), it is worth pointing out that the Society has been right where it should be - influencing the direction of travel for the benefit of our members and, subsequently, also for the public's benefit. Even as all the interested parties in the debates have been looking at legislation and policy, we have been involved in setting the agenda in a number of ways, not least by encouraging more thought and consideration of the main issues.
