IT HAS been a long time coming but the anomaly that EU qualified pharmacists are not allowed to become the responsible pharmacist in a pharmacy that has been established for under three years has finally been removed after a change in law that came into effect last week (p562). In a Briefing (p569), we take a look at the Scottish and Welsh governments' upcoming review of community pharmacy's contribution to health services. Our feature (p576) examines why some primary care trusts in England are limiting their NHS gluten-free formularies to such an extent that the only prescribable products are long-life bread and flour.
