We read with interest your NHS recruitment Special feature (PJ, 10 July 2010, p57). We agree with the description of the difficulties that NHS chief pharmacists will face in maintaining services at a time when severe financial and manpower cuts are being sought in the NHS. You cite Ray Fitzpatrick's Original paper (PJ, 22 May 2010, p504) in which he describes his work on benchmarking.
