Desmopressin was introduced more than 30 years ago as a practical treatment for monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis.1 The agent benefits many patients who fail to achieve a normal diurnal surge of dDAVP. However, there are still patients with nocturnal polyuria who do not have a sustained response.Inhibition of cyclooxygenase has been linked to antidiuretic properties (reference 5 in article).
