INEOS will buy BASF out of styrenics venture

INEOS has agreed to buy BASF's share of the two companies' styrenics joint venture, Styrolution, for ?l.lbn (US$1.5bn). The buy-out option was included in the shareholders' agreement when BASF and INEOS set up Styrolution in October 2011. They first signed a letter of intent for the 50:50 TV in November 2010.
