Colombia’s coal production in the first quarterrose 33.8% year-on-year to 24.6 million mt from 18.4 millionmt, the national mining agency (ANM) said late Monday. The agency said that 93.4% of total production wasconcentrated in the Cesar (56.8%) and La Guajira (36.6%)regions of Colombia, where major thermal coal producersCerrejon, Drummond and Prodeco have their mines.
