Turkish PE prices were down this week as demand softened following the lira depreciation. Bearishness in Asia also weighed on sentiment. Turkish prices were assessed at $1,510/ mt CFR for LDPE and $1,500/mt CFR for LLDPE and HDPE. Prices were down $20/mt on the week. North Africa prices were stable as converters shrugged off high offers, sources said. North African prices closed Wednesday at $1,485/mt for HDPE, and $1,480/mt for LDPE and LLDPE. The Turkish market is quiet following the election and the fall of the lira over the weekend.
